Indian Delights At Keswick Market
A quick stroll past a market stall selling very tasty smelling grub turned up a samosa munching opportunity.
The samosa's were stacked up in a tray and looked a bit undercooked - but the guys were re-heating them on demand so I took the chance. I probably shouldn't have.
On closer inspection, they looked as though they had been kept warm a long time and the dry, firm pastry was an early clue that they had. It took a lot of chewing to work through the over generous amount of pastry, and the filling , when eventually located, was bland and also dry. No flavour of spice or herbs going on here, just stodgy veg in and under cooked and over warmed casing.
Shame as the stall looked to be selling some interesting wraps along side the samosas.
A regrettable 2.5
