Kashmiri Aroma (Wakefield)

Its always tricky when a restaurant that you really like does badly on the Samosa front, and this was one such an occasion. Great meal - weak triangles!

They did have samosas listed on the menu (meat or veg) but having eaten here a few times before, I was nervous that it was a risky gamble to base my starter on what, from memory , were problematic samosas. So , with encouragement from the kids, we went for the mixed sizzler to share. It was a solid choice, with the cheeky pastries not finding it hard to hide in the good pile of food that arrived - as they were tiny. And filo pastry (if I was in the mood for an emoji it would be a sad face you were seeing).

There is not much to write about, they were filled quite nicely but were as bland as a politicians new wife, eager to please on her first public appearance.

The rest of the starter was really good, as were the main courses. All four diners were very happy with their food, and there was a lot of it. It is always reasonably priced here, you can have a good family meal with drinks , in a really smart environment with a lovely atmosphere, for £50 or so. But guys, you can do better on the Samosa's, did you even make them or did you buy them in? They seemed like cash and carry samosas (or worse). Go, but don't order samosas. They are only worth a 3.0.
