Sara's Indian - Coniston, Cumbria

A quick visit. A meal with friends, I ordered the samosa's "for the table" as I actually fancied another starter (yes I know, I didn't have much faith did I).

The other starter was better (a puri since you ask). 
 

The samosas were very small (which always then adds the dryness problem - a ratio of too much pastry to filling) and the pastry was dull and filo style. They could easily be from a bag in a freezer from a chain supermarket. And not a great example of those either. 

The filling wasn't very tasty and the sauce provided was very minimal. 

Nothing really to write home about. The main meal was ok, friendly waiter but really nothing worth travelling for - if you are in the southern lake district and really must have some indian food, then it might be worth a try. 

A disappointing 4.0
