Curry n Kebab, Leeds

So, this was an unexpected treat. I was in Leeds market buying chilly's - Cornelius loves a bit of spicy grub and it was the annual chilly sauce making meet-up (24 bottles of hot as hell sauce boiled and bottled with the finest ingredients sourced cheaply from Leeds market). Anyway, I digress.

I had popped out from a meeting in Leeds to rush to the market and was in a hurry to get my shopping and also have lunch. As I was leaving the market, what do I spot? Samosas! Sitting in a cabinet waiting to be tested.

"How long will those take mate" Cornelius asks, "2 minutes pal" comes the reply. Two minutes I can manage so I place my order.

While they were cooking, I had a nice chat with the owner and I can confirm he is a nice bloke.

Right on time, everything was ready and I dove in to my parcel of food while heading back to my meeting. I so wish I had allowed more time, as these were beauties. Very tasty filling. A perfect mix of veg, herbs and spices, in the right quantity - cooked to perfection in good crunchy and tasty pastry. The sauce was ok, could have been a little sharper and tastier and that probably holds these back from being an 8.5 or even a 9.

The pakora I had (it was a long walk back) were also very good indeed.

Apologies for the quality of the pictures, it wasn't the easiest mission running back to a meeting, while eating , photographing what you are eating and carrying several carrier bags of food.

Anyway, a solid 8.0 for the triangular good stuff. Definitely worth calling in - and personally I would be asking if they can be cooked freshly. It made a big difference I think.

Note : your author was late back for his meeting and had yogurt sauce down the back of both suit trouser legs. Worth it though
