The Indians Next Door, London
I picked this one up on impulse as I was walking past their market stall outside Kings Cross Station. A quick snack and dash.
They looked really good - but sadly weren't. Its not easy from a market stall to be fair, but still, that wasn't the only problem.
The pastry was cold and greasy and soggy. It has lost all of its life. The samosa was well filled and a good size but I can't think of many more positives.
The filling seemed as though each ingredient had been cooked individually and then spooned into the pastry. It was very bland indeed and not especially well cooked (could have done with a bit longer in the pan perhaps).
It was £2 wasted. I don't want to talk about it any more.
